Big News!

The Canadian Carp Society is excited to announce their first annual CCS Social! The event will take place along the shores of the Bird Sanctuary on the St. Lawrence River from September 30 – October 2nd. Tickets go on sale this Saturday so be sure to grab yours, it’s sure to be the event of the year!

According to meteorologists, the extreme warm weather is soon to be behind us as we approach the end of August, the nights have been undeniably cooler and many of our members have been making the most of overnight and first light bites!

Be sure to check out our latest articles and podcasts! The multi rig is a classic that has captured fish far and wide so learn how to tie this tried and tested rig and learn about its applications.

July has been hot, and the action has been too! The CCS members have been posting lots of catches to the community, including an impressive amount of Mirror Carp.

Round Three of the Challenge series is in full swing and we are nearing our semi-final showdown! Keep up to date by checking the Challenge page on the site.

Our friends at the American Carp Society have shared our Podcast #17 – Anthony Russell hosts Sean Manning and Wayne Boon. They discuss some historical sessions with multiple 40lb+ carp being captured and what’s going on at The American Carp Society.

Our collectible CCS coins are just in and are looking MINT! They are currently available to our SSF winners. Keyword; currently.

Stay cool out there. Hydration. Sunscreen. Shade. Check out Nathan Cutler’s “Sun Care” article.

If you’re out there in the heat for a long session; one of our members found a battery powered fan that packs down to an acceptable 8″ x 4″! Search for Will Muschett’s post in the community feed.

Another successful SSF event has come to pass and this one was a real grind! A number of quality fish were landed last week by our amazing community even though the weather was spicy! Check out the Leaderboard under the “SSF” tab.

Round Two of the Challenge Series has also come to an end and some more surprises as eight more anglers were eliminated from the competition. The remaining eight will now battle for the top spots in the rounds to come. Round Three starts soon! Check for these updates as they are available under the “CHALLENGES” tab.

Finally, CCSTV EP.3 has launched with videos coming in from members across our community. Lovely to see some new faces in this one! Everything from sit downs and sharing memories to tips on carping in a boat! You could be in the next one, so be sure to send in your clips to us.

Been out on the bank lately? Share, share, share!

Tight lines. #theccs
