We don't want to ruin things for you, but have you ever noticed how often someone will say "that's a nice fish" in fishing videos? It's pretty much the same thing here in the CCS. You don't have to catch 60lb fish or 20lb fish for them to be nice. We like them all and are able to appreciate each of them on the same level. If you are fly fishing for them. If you are fishing a tiny creek. If you are match fishing or ice fishing. If you are fishing a canal, lake, or river. Every catch can be nice. Each fish can be fascinating. A pristine fish. A two-tone. A fish with big fins. A brilliantly colored fish. A fish with a scar or irregular scales. A fish with one eye. A fish with a big mouth or a lamprey scar. Almost every fish is a nice fish when you appreciate all the details. That's why you hear "that's a nice fish" so often. If you catch yourself saying "that's a nice fish" then maybe you should become a CCS Member. www.canadiancarpsociety.com.
